Toronto-based musician Arnab Chakrabarty is an outstanding exponent sarod (of the Indian lute family). Easily among the top handful of sarod players in the world today, Arnab’s performances are noteworthy for a profound understanding of raga forms, deep erudition of both the sarod tradition. He will be joined by the Mercury Prize winner for OK album Talvin Singh on Tabla. Talvin has helped to demystify Indian classical music, inspiring a whole new generation of musicians and producers of contemporary music in India.

Taking inspiration from his father, Jonathan Mayer revisited material from the 1960s. John Mayer formerly Indo Jazz Fusions in 1966 and this quartet will also play new original material.
Jonathan Mayer has studied sitar with Clem Alford, Ustad Wajahat Khan & Pandit Subroto Roy Choudhury. He has performance across the globe including prestigious concerts such as Dover Lane & The Royal Festival Hall. As a composer he has written for The Orlando Consort, LPO & The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonics.
Mitel Purohit studied tabla from Pandit Sanju Sahai and has played with artists such Jagjit Singh, Rahat Fate Ali Khan & London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The son of the outstanding drummer, the late Tony Levin, Miles has worked with many of the best Birmingham jazz musicians and leading his own groups. Having been part of a quintet led by saxophonist Paul Dunmall, a long-time associate of his father, he has recently worked with the likes of Edgar Macias and Steve Sherriff
Pianist and composer Steve Tromans has been active on the music scene since the 1990s. He has given over 6,000 performances on a national and international level, at venues ranging in size from festival stages to the intimacy of club spaces. As a composer he has written more than 100 compositions, and received major commissions from a series of major arts organisations in the

Yoga for Body, Breath and Mind – Tina is a BWY Diploma Accredited yoga teacher. Her continuing education is shared with all her students through her love of yogic text and chanting. Her goal is to create space and stillness in body, mind and heart.

Chilanka pooja literally means ‘worshipping anklets’. In Bharathanatyam, anklets (chilanka) are considered sacred. Students of dance do Chilanka pooja after atleast 3 – 4 years of training, and provided the teacher thinks that he/she is ready physically and mentally to perform a formal dance recital. This is one of the major milestones in a dancer’s life. This is the first time the girls will formally do a dance repertoire wearing their “chilankas” to live Carnatic music. To qualify for this milestone, the dancers should have the basic knowledge of the artform and rhythm. They will step into the world of storytelling through this process and make use of the art form’s rich vocabulary of hand gestures and body language to facilitate the same.
Natyanjali Dance School led by its Artistic director Divya Ramkumar, is a performing arts school with centres in Cambridge and Sawston, where we train children and adults in the South Indian dance Form of Bharatanatyam.

Upahaar School of Dance was founded by Shalini Shivashankar with the simple desire to share the joy experienced from expressing and communicating through dance. Upahaar will present dance recital of Mohiniattam.
Parbati Chaudhury is a London – born and based performer – teacher – maker specialising in Kathak, whose training con tinues with Urja Desai Thakore.She regularly features in Pagrav Dance Company, Akademi and Kadam productions, and performed in Amina Khayyam Dance Company’s SLUT at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017.
Elena has established herself as one of the finest odissi dancers in this country. She has extensively trained under Guru Sujata Mohapatra, and furthered her performance and musical skills under Guru Madhavi Mudghal and the Nrityagram Dance Ensemble.
